Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
of Cranbrook B.C. passed away suddenly but peacefully surrounded by dedicated family at the Cranbrook Regional Hospital on Jan. 3 2008, at the age of 69. Born in Medicine Hat, May 23, 1938 he moved to Cranbrook at a young age. He lived and worked in the Cranbrook area for many years in various jobs and entrepreneurial ventures, but is most affectionately known as the friendly face at SEARS as the appliance salesman. Pete was honest and respected and always happy to greet you, going beyond the mark in customer service. Outside his work life he was an avid supporter of Cranbrook hockey from the Royals through to the Kootenay ICE, rarely missing a game. His passion included all sports and he was an exceptional gardener. But his greatest love and joy was his family, who knew this. Left to miss him are his three children: Barb (Alan) Tanner of Red Deer, Brenda (Kelly) Brehm of Cranbrook, and son Brad Brehm of Cranbrook as well as six adoring grandchildren, Brandie, Crystal, Matt, Bryan, Falin and Katie. Also feeling the void is his loyal brother Bim (Jean) Brehm of Cranbrook, and loving sisters Linda (Brian) Kostiuk of Cranbrook and Joan Scanland of Rutland B.C. along with many fond nieces and nephews and other loving family and dear friends. Come celebrate Pete's life with us Thursday Jan 10, 2008 at 1:00 at the Cranbrook Alliance Church. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Light tea to follow. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Cranbrook Food Bank Society, 104-8th Ave. S. Cranbrook, BC V1C 2K5.
