Tomkinson: Katherine "Marnie" (nee Robinson)October 1917.
January 2008 During the early morning hours of January 2nd our Mom passed away at Joseph Creek Care Home in Cranbrook, She was born in Vancouver and has lived throughout B.C. all her life, moving to Cranbrook in 2003 to live with family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) in January 2004. Mom is survived by her devoted and loving family, daughter Karen (Lorne) Wreggett of Cranbrook, grandson Keith (Maeve), granddaughter Linda (David) Hartley and great grandsons Brett and Ryan. Daughter Maureen Moffat (Brian) Wilson of Lethbridge, AB, granddaughters Kaitlyn Moffat, Meghan (Ryan) Beattie, great grandchildren Brayden and Sydney and their grandfather Robert (Bob) Moffat. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted sister Rosemary Kenning of North Vancouver and her family, Dan (Leila), Colleen (John) Maynard, Brad (Kathy) and their families, plus many relatives and friends throughout B.C.
Our special memories of Mom will be from her 90th birthday that will live in our hearts forever, a celebration which brought together family from England, Toronto, North Van., Vancouver and the Philippines to Cranbrook in October 2007. May we all cherish that special time. "Marnie" was loved by all who knew her.
A special Thank You to Dr. Sarah Chesney, Roxanne Bourassa for your loving care when respite was needed, Jen Beswick and staff for those fun days at the Adult Care Centre and last but not least, heartfelt thanks from all the family to all the wonderful and caring staff at Joseph Creek for the care of "their Marnie", you all know who you are. Mom's final resting place will be with her mom and dad in Forest Lawn, Burnaby which will be announced in the late spring of 2008.
