I lived next door to Mary for a year or so and we visited often over cake, pie or cookies and tea. Mary was such a kind and loving soul . I am missing her dearly. I took this picture July 3/22.

We hadn't heard from her Nelda Jo in a while, but figured she was just busy at the shop as she so often was. I wish we would have spoken just one more time. We had no idea that she had passed until today. If anyone can contact us with what happened to through Facebook, we would appreciate it. We'd like to help honor her with a donation or something of the sort.
Nelda Jo was a customer of ours, selling our hot sauce products in her Trickle Creek Shop.
She and I used to talk at great length about mine and my wife's recipes, the hot sauce business and why things are as hot as they are. She was so curious and full of wonder about the whole scene. She was a big fan of our products. It always renewed my passion for the business after speaking with her.
Nelda was a lover of spicy sauces, peppers and snacks and we exchanged little gifts of sauce for some of her own hand made items like caramel corn or cookies and even treasures from her shop once our daughter was born three years ago.
She sent Isabella so many gifts that she uses every day like a bear and moose plate and cup set, clothing and other little trinkets that meant a lot to us. She was so loving towards Isabella even though she never actually met her, that's just the kind of person Nelda Jo was I guess.
..
I wondered why the world seemed just a little bit darker in the last little while...I guess it was the loss of Nelda Jo's light in the world.
Nelda was a special friend to our business and especially to our family.
Our condolences go out to her family and to those who loved Nelda Jo for who she was.
She will be missed everyday I'm sure.
Nelda Jo, we hope you are at peace wherever you are...

Nelda and I were friends during junior high and high school. When Nelda moved to Kimberley, I would drop by to visit her at Sprinter Printer and later in her own shop, Trickle Creek Gallery. Nelda and I exchanged christmas presents each year - imagine, trying to find something unique for a friend who owned a gift shop! During our Christmas visit and gift exchange last year, Nelda asked me if I even remembered what gifts she had given me over the years. I thought for a minute and then listed the gifts for the last 5 years. Nelda rewarded me with one of her big beautiful smiles and I knew that my remembering her gifts meant more to her than the gift I had brought for her. When I think of Nelda, I will always see her smile.

Our deepest sympathy, Marry, Graham and Renee on Nelda's passing. We will miss her at Trickle Creek Gallery and will think of her often when I look at some of the beautiful purchases I have made there. She once told me I was a Magpie and I don't know whether it was because I gravitated to the pretty shiny things in the showcase or if I talked too much! We both had a great laugh! Whatever the reason, she was always so sweet and helpful and she will be missed.

I was so sorry to hear today of Nelda's passing. I first met Nelda at Sprinter Printer about 9 years ago. As much as I drove her crazy with all my printing changes, she was always so kind to me. I loved her gift shop, even if I was going into just browse or to visit, I always walked out with a purchase because of her excitement of her new jewellery that I just had to see and she would always get me to try it on. I will miss you Nelda and I am so sorry I missed your service. Til we meet again! My thoughts to Nelda's family.

I first met Nelda at Muriel Baxter School in Grade 4, and we have been friends since then. We experienced our first camp together, "Blue Lake Camp" and on through Laurie School and finally Mount Baker High School. I have memories of when we tried our first beer, and the dreaded cigarette. We convinced our parents we needed kittens and rabbits through the years, and I am sure we stressed them more than we should have! Though I only got to visit Nelda once or twice a year as I have moved away, it was always a warm welcome with smiles and me spending money at that lovely shop she worked at. I am sorry I did not get to see her more, it is very sad and I have been reminising alot. I will light a candle in her memory tomorrow and I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person.

To Nelda's Family and Friends
We were so sad to hear of Nelda's passing. Please accept our Deepest Sympathy. When my sister visited from Mackenzie, we never missed an opportunity to visit the Trickle Creek Gallery. Nelda always took great pleasure and pride when she showed us the uniquely Canadian items that she brought into the store. She teasingly referred to us as "The Raven Sisters" as we always zoomed to the jewellery counter to see what was new. We will fondly think of Nelda when we wear our special pieces of jewellery and look at the beautiful art pieces that we know she chose with care. We have special memories of our visits to Trickle Creek Gallery and chatting with Nelda. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed
Terry Hockley and Jackie Benton.

Thoughts of Nelda are always of her kindness and great smile as I often visited her at the Trickle Creek Gallery. She was always helpful and loved to show me the latest jewellery. We would also share a laugh or two as she had a quick wit to go with it. Thank you Nelda for sharing your time with us. Blessings to your family. Janyce Bampton
