Obituary of Frank Kleindienst

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On January 9, 2008 Frank K. Kleindienst passed away peacefully at home with family by his side, after a short battle with cancer. Born June 2, 1924, Frank immigrated to Montreal from Austria in 1951 and in 1967 moved to Cranbrook with his family where he started Kimbrook Motors. Frank enjoyed spending his winters in Mexico, but his favourite place was his farm in Gold Creek. He was an avid hunter and spent many years running Gold Creek Guide Outfitters and guiding for others. He always had a story to tell or advice on current events. Frank, often known as "Opa", will be missed by his family and friends. Frank is survived by his son Peter, daughter-in-law Nancy, grandson Evan (Michelle) and granddaughter Niki (Dallas). He was predeceased by his wife Charlotte (Lotte) of 51 years. A Celebration of Frank's life, for friends and family, will be held at Peter and Nancy's home, 4024-13th St S., Cranbrook on Sunday January 13, 2008, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (19-9th Ave. S. Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9), in memory of Frank, are sincerely appreciated and gratefully acknowledged.
