Edith passed away on January 12, 2008 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Cranbrook, B.C., at the age of 82.
Edith Emma Garvin was born in Dand, Manitoba on the 13th day of January 1926. She was married to Eldon Schwindt who predeceased her in 2003. The couple had 5 children, several grandchildren and an ever growing number of great-grandchildren. Edith will be greatly missed by all of her family as well as by the many close friends she met throughout the years.
Edith is survived by her sons Ross (Joan), Harold (Janice), Ken (Edwina) and family Keith (Etienne), and daughter Susan (Rick) and family and she raised and loved her grandson Christopher.
Edith was also predeceased by her great grandson Kieran in 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday January 17, 2008 at McPherson's Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
