"Tony"1924 - 2008

Born in Kingston, Surrey, England on February 5, 1924, Tony passed away quietly on January 17, 2008 in Cranbrook, B.C.

Tony was educated in England. He served in the Royal Air Force for 8 years flying Spitfire fighter planes - in Europe, India, Burma and then later in Palestine. He came to Canada in 1948 and worked in Montreal for Canadair, marketing aircraft in Europe and South America. He later worked for Cominco doing P/R in Oakville, ON.

Tony came to Cranbrook 1997 with his wife Susan who he met in Ontario. They were married for 16 years. Tony enjoyed farming, wildlife, the outdoors and reading. He was passionate about American politics and the world of aviation.

Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife Susan England-Williamson, children: Cheryl (Pat) Dillard and their daughter Elizabeth of Kansas City, Missouri, Jane (David)) Moulder and their children Alana, Alex and Liam of West Sussex, England, Mark (Esther) Williamson and their children Lucas and Emily of Peterborough, ON and David (Robyn) Williamson and their daughter Abby of Windsor, ON. He will also be missed by his 3 stepchildren; Andrew (Tria) Belcourt of Gainesville, Florida, Lea Belcourt (Rob) and Irie of Crawford Bay, BC and James Belcourt (Annick) or Gray Creek, BC. A memorial service is being arranged for a later date in England. To honour Tony's memory, donations to the Diabetes Teaching Centre, 20-23rd Ave., Cranbrook, BC V1C 5V1, are sincerely appreciated and gratefully acknowledged.
