Bryce was an excellent carpenter, an avid guitar player and fisherman. As a young man, he was an excellent boxer and baseball player. He is survived by two daughters; Debbie (Larry) Becker of Marysville, Karen (Dale) Smith of Cranbrook, two sisters Sharon Samson and Leola (Charlie) Williams of Lethbridge, eight grandchildren, Wade (Melanie) Daignault, David and Darren Daignault, Jenna and Alissa Becker, Brienna, Noelle and Devan Smith; and one great-grandchild Sierra Diane Daignault; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Collette in1974, his daughter Diane Daignault in 2003, four brothers; Herman, Gordon (Bunny), Eugene (Tiny) and Bob, and by his parents, Leroy and Irma Sommerfelt.
