Obituary of George Hetherington

July 15, 1933 -July 6, 2008

After a courageous and long battle with cancer, our brave soldier, George Hetherington, has found peace at last. George passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital on July 6, 2008 at 74 years of age.

He will be sorely missed and always in our hearts. Born in Calgary, Alberta on July 15, 1933, George leaves to mourn his passing, his adoring wife and soul mate of 50 years Margaret (Timmy); his beloved son David Bruce (Darlene); his loving daughter Margaret Anne Whan (Andrew); his brother William (Gloria) of Bath, Ontario and his grandchildren: William, Cailean, Matthew, Nathaniel and Joshua.

Visitation for George will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10:00 am in the McPherson Reception Room in Cranbrook. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
