Obituary of James Robinson

James William "Robbie" Robinson passed away on March 26, 2008 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at the age of 92.
Robbie was born in Cochrane, Alberta and raised in Exshaw, Alberta. He was proud of his service in the Armed Forces, most of which he spent overseas. Robbie worked for Canada Cement for 42 years, in many different positions, and ending as electrical foreman. In 1978 he retired and they moved to Invermere, British Columbia.
Throughout his life, Robbie enjoyed many activities with his family including skiing, camping, boating, golfing, curling and playing crib. Robbie was actively involved in the communities he lived in and served for many years on the executive of the Royal Canadian Legion at both branch and district levels. After retirement he served as the Secretary Treasurer for the Baltac Community Association.
Robbie is survived by his three children: Teresa (Larry) Palmer, Bill (Carolyn) Robinson and Jim (Karen) Robinson; seven grandchildren: Don, Laura (Doug), Melissa (Richard), Jennifer, Jessica, Candice, and Tara; great grandson, Bill as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Ethel in 1991.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Exshaw Legion in Exshaw, Alberta. Donations in Robbie's memory may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
