It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hanny Egli on March 15, 2009.

Hanny was born in Bern, Switzerland on September 13, 1919 and moved to Canada with her husband Fred and children Marcel and Christine in 1951. In 1953 they moved to Cranbrook and have lived here since. Hanny is survived by her daughter Christine (John) Gurin; granddaughter Denise (Richard) Rose; grandson Michael (Patty) Egli; great grandchildren: Brandon, Levy, Ashley, Michelle, Mitchel, Lana; and great great grandchildren: Breanna and Tyler.

A funeral service for Hanny will take place at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Hanny can be made to the charity of your choice.
