Obituary of Andrew Basil

1926 - 2009

Andrew (Atlo) Basil, known as "Andy" to his friends, passed away March 19, 2009.

Atlo was born to Basil and Joanne Andrew on March 23, 1926 in Aqam (St. Mary's Band). Atlo is survived by his brother Paul Andrew. He also leaves to mourn his passing: Peter (Dolly), Beatrice (Charles), Bertha, Betty (Mike), Max (Pauline); as well as nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; and his great friend Mary and her family.

He was predeceased by his sister Bertha Andrew and brother Jerome Andrew.

Andy's friends are having a "Love of Life Celebration" on Friday, March 27, 2009. It will be held at the Cranbrook Hotel and all are welcome to meet there with them. Atlo's wake will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 5:00 pm at the St. Mary's Band Hall. His funeral service will take place at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The feast will be held at the St. Mary's Band Hall.
