It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Walter Johnston.

Born on January 13, 1940, Jack enjoyed living where the skies were blue, Cranbrook. He was a hard worker who enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He is survived by his brother, Howard (Linda); sister Nelly (Ken); niece Lisa (Peter); nephew John; great nephew Gary (Erin); daughter Janice (Trevor); granddaughters Taylor and Brianna.

A memorial service will be held in memory of Jack on Friday May 30th, 2008. Viewing will take place at 10:00 am with a service following at 11:00 am at the McPherson Reception Room in Cranbrook, British Columbia. A reception in his honour will take place at the King Edward Hotel at 5:00 pm.

Jack's family would like to extend their gratitude and thank-you for all the love, support and care given by the staff at Freightliner of Cranbrook Ltd where Jack worked, the nurses and doctors at East Kootenay Regional Hospital where Jack passed away peacefully, and also to the staff and tenants of the GE Motel and the folks at King Edward Motel where he frequented.
