Obituary of Ruth Lee

1924-2008

Mrs. Ruth Lee of Kimberley, British Columbia passed away peacefully May 28, 2008 in the presence of family and friends.

She was born March 26, 1924 in Rosewood, Saskatchewan. In her 84 years, Ruth was always an active member in her community. Her efforts reached from the RCAF (Ottawa) during the war to a career as a Registered Nurse (Toronto). She became a Cub Scout Leader (Guelph, Ontario), the President of the Twin and Triplet Club (Kelowna), and the president of the Canadian Cancer Society (Kimberley). She was always strong in faith and dedicated her life to the lord. Ruth was "Mom" to many who knew her. She surrounded herself with the best of friends and neighbours.

She enjoyed her garden, a cup of tea, the crossword, a bible study, a good debate or a sing song. She had a gentle and compassionate nature and will be missed forever by her friends and family.

She is survived by her brother, Ian Rudiger (Theresa); children: Larry (Chris), Stephen, Barbara (Guido) and Deidre; grandchildren: Lindsay, Erin, Rachel, and Jessica.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Kimberley Penticostal Church (Meadowbrook) with Pastor Sonny Green officiating.

An Interment will follow at the Kimberley Cemetery.
