February 20, 1947 - June 9, 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Geoff (Coyote) surrounded by his family, in Calgary at Foothills Hospital. Beloved husband to Wendy, father to Dale (Kathy) Clibbett and Alissa (Jon) McWhirter. Grandfather to Joshua and Justin Clibbett and Abbey McWhirter. Brother to Susan Jones. Son-in-law to Rose Glencross. Brother-in-law to Marilyn (Rob) Beauchesne and Keith (Lil) Jones. Geoff was predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Marion, brother John and father-in-law Harry Glencross. Geoff had 12 wonderful nieces and nephews and their families.Geoff arrived in Canada at the young age of 4 and lived in Smithers, Prince Rupert and Duncan, before marrying Wendy in 1970. They lived a life of wonderful adventures. Geoff graduated from Civil and Structural Technology at BCIT. He worked for BC Hydro for 33 years and retired in September 2006. Geoff built two homes for his family, one in Prince George and one in Cranbrook. He was an avid curler and organized Cash Spiels and Bonspiels and was a B.C. Interior Curling Association Life Member. Geoff also enjoyed three years of Gold Mining on the Moyie River. Geoff was one of the first planners and builders of Mission Hills Golf Course. Geoff never knew what it meant not to succeed at anything he attempted. Geoff's favourite spot was by the ocean or sitting on the deck at lake Koocanusa with a cup of coffee or sharing a drink with friends and watching the sun come up or go down.

A visitation for friends will be on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook.

A funeral service for Geoff will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Cranbrook Alliance Church. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Following the Interment a reception Celebrating Geoff's life will take place at Finnegan's On Ice at the RecPlex.
