Obituary of Jack Afonso

March 4, 1928 - September 17, 2008

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jack Afonso announce his passing in Invermere on September 17, 2008.

Jack was born in Soajo, Portugal on March 4th, 1928. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, his animals and watching hockey.

Jack leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Gill; children: Gary (Linda) Richardson, and their children Jacqleen and Brooke, Glen (Candy) Afonso, and their children Janis and Alex, Denise Furlong, and her children Geoffrey and Bradley, Maye (Gary) Hollick, and their children Jackson and Jesse, Maximo (Daria) Afonso of Portugal and their children Sylvie and Sandrine, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and one sister.

A funeral service for Jack will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at The Canal Flats Community Centre at 1:00 pm.
