Harvey leaves behind his siblings, William (Marlene) Nash, Sardis BC, John Nash, Kimberley, and Jayne (Wayne) Geiger, Fairmont and his four nieces. In his early years Harvey was guided by his passion for the outdoors and sports, specifically hockey. A talented young player,Harvey's hockey career took him on quite a journey playing for such teams as the Calgary Spurs, Greensboro Generals, (North Carolina), and the Chatham Maroons, (ONT). Harvey brough this hockey experience home, and over the years ended up playing for, coaching and managing the Kimberley Dynamiters and also coaching the Kimberley Knights. Dad also loved to golf and never could decide whether he should play right handed or left handed! He was on the Kimberley Golf Course Executive for many years.Through out his youth Harvey loved the competitiveness of the Kimberley Men's Baseball League and played a major role in the Dynamos and Hobos Rivalry. Go Dynamos! Harvey loved growing up and spending his life in Kimberley. He had a true love for the outdoors and could often be found camping, fishing and hiking or working in his yard. He had a special place in his heart for the St. Mary's Valley. Harvey spent the last eight years as an active member of the Kimberley Elks Club where he worked tirelessly to bolster the club and contribute to the community. As a result of his commitment, the Elks Club has decided to name their main hall "The Harvey Nash Hall". Up until recently, Harvey had been a career electrician, gaining his apprenticeship through Cominco. He only just recently retired and was looking forward to a life on the links and traveling with Caroline. Dad had many friends and held a place in his heart for each and every one of them.

A Celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, September 24th, at 2:00pm, at the Marysville Community Church. Family and friends are welcome to travel to the Kimberley Cemetery for Dad's interment. Following the service, everyone is invited to the Kimberley Elks Club for a gathering of friends and memories.
