Obituary of Catherine Clarricoates

April 16, 1949 - November 18, 2008

It is with great sadness, the family of Catherine Anne "Cathy" Clarricoates announce her sudden passing on November 18, 2008 at the age of 59 years.

A lifelong resident of Kimberley, Cathy was an unassuming person who found great pleasure in quiet pursuits. A voracious reader, she could always be found snuggled in with a "good book".

Cathy was predeceased by her parents William Clarricoates (1980) and Nancy Clarricoates Sr. (1995); and by her brother-in-law Rudy Bettin (1987). Cathy will be sadly missed by her surviving siblings: Nancy Fletcher (Syd); Sharon Bettin; and Michael Clarricoates - all of Kimberley. Also left to mourn are Cathy's nieces and nephew: Sarah Fletcher-Kennedy (Sean); Dustin Fletcher; Heidi Bettin and a grand-nephew William Fletcher - all of Kimberley; Diane Bettin; Laura Dube (Ernie) and a grand-niece Whitney - all of Calgary.

A memorial mass, in celebration of Cathy's life, will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 28, 2008 at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kimberley.

A private family Interment will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions in honour of Cathy can be made to: The East Kootenay Regional Hospital Intensive Care Fund, 13 - 24th Avenue North, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 3H9.
