Obituary of Donald Salanski
1949 - 2008
The family of Donald Salanski sadly announce his passing on December 30, 2008 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Donald was born on July 18, 1949 in Fernie, British Columbia.
He was a loving father who was always there when his family needed him, and will be greatly missed. He was a cub scout leader, a boy scout leader, coached ladies fastball, enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid camper, loved fishing, off road motorcycling and country music. For the majority of his adult years, Donald was a truck driver for the Columbia Brewery. He was nicknamed "Dipper" and loved being on the open road. Donald had recently retired and was living in Cranbrook . He loved his new found "spare-time" and spent the great majority of it with his grandkids.
Donald is survived by his children Jolene and Jim Salanski; his mother Florence; his sister Marian Salanski; as well as many relatives and friends.
A celebration of Donald's life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort in the grand ballroom.
