1920 - 2009
After a short stay in hospital, 88-year old Joan Ernestine Rosevear went to be with the Lord in the wee hours of the morning of January 9, 2009.
Born in Cranbrook on June 29, 1920, Joan was active in many sports including curling and downhill skiing. She was a dedicated businesswoman who ran the Cranbrook Saddlery with her husband who she affectionately referred to as Chuck (1921-1980).
Together they worked and adopted two children (Brian 1962-2001) and Jennifer, and became a family. Devout parents, Joan and Chuck sacrificed to provide for their children. Over the years, Joan was blessed with four beautiful grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She loved her family and had many photos of her dear grandchildren on display.
Joan's family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Scheibenstock and staff of the East Kootenay Regional Hospital for making Joan comfortable in her last moments.
