Obituary of Luella Booth

1910 - 2009

After a short illness, Luella Meryl Booth passed away February 6th, 2009. Shortly after her birth Luella moved from Michigan to Saskatchewan with her parents. She later moved to Vancouver where she married Donald Gordon. After Donald passed away, Luella met George Booth. Luella and George were married and moved to the Kootenays where they owned and operated two small businesses until George passed away in June 1988.

Luella leaves to mourn her passing, three grandchildren: David (Diane) Gordon and family; Donalda (Garry) Brook and family; and Donald Ian Gordon; plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nephew Brian (Addie) Mills and cousin Al (Pam) Mogg were always in close contact. Many close friends will also miss Luella's ready smile and quick wit.

Luella was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, one brother, her first husband Donald Gordon, her second husband George Booth, and her son Donald Dennis Gordon.

A funeral service for Luella will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Cranbrook. Her Interment will take place in the Elko Cemetery at a later date.
