January 11, 1965 - February 1, 2009

Brian passed away suddenly February 1, 2009. He was born in Dinuba, California. He grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. When he finished school, Brian worked a variety of jobs until he got his class one drivers licence, fulfilling his life long dream of becoming a Truck Driver. He was known on the CB Radio as "Gravedigger". Brian and Angela met through a mutual friend in 1993. They were married October 7, 1995 in Cranbrook, making this their home for the rest of his life with their five children. Brian always said that his family was number one, and he would do anything for them. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, model trains and collecting sports cards. He especially liked talking on his CB radio to his buddies: Midlander, Big Red and Cooter.

Brian is survived by his loving wife Angela of thirteen years and their children Jay, April (Kenny), Brianne, Stephanie, Dillon and by one grandson Kaiden. He is also survived by his father Ernie Banman; and his blended family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters; as well as a brother-in-law and sister-in-law and their spouses; his mother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brian was predeceased by his mother in September of 2005, and by a sister when he was quite young.

A funeral service for Brian will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 2:00 pm. Visitation will take place at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
