Obituary of Melody van der Walt

Born: June 1, 1941 in South Porcupine, Ontario

Passed Away: February 7, 2009 in Cranbrook, British Columbia

It is with great sorrow that the family of Melody van der Walt announce her passing on February 7, 2009 at 67 years of age.

Melody is survived by her companion David Sorenson; daughter Holly (Kevin) Cooper; son Dan van der Walt (Marifer Lam); 4 loving grandchildren; brother Mickey (Lois) MacDonald; sister Linda (Bill) Plourd; close friend Dolly Pinchak; plus many other loving family members and friends.

Warm hugs and fond memories are encouraged. Melody loved yellow roses and daffodils.

A gathering for family and friends to remember and celebrate Melody's life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at 2707 - 21st Street South in Cranbrook (near Gold Creek Store).
