Obituary of Velma Richards

Velma Jean Richards passed away peacefully February 12, 2009 at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 93 years of age.

Born in Yennadon, British Columbia, she was the third of seven children. Velma grew up at Haney, married Bill Richards and moved to Vancouver. After her loving husband Bill's death she moved to Cranbrook. Velma is survived by her two children: Linda (Roy) Israelson of Kingston, Ontario and Donna (Jack) Shaw of Cranbrook, British Columbia; grandchildren: John (Joan) Shaw of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Daniel (Christy) Shaw of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Cathy (Chad) Emel of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Bill (Cathy) Israelson of Pensicola, Florida, Colleen (Barry) Clarke of Kingston, Ontario; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Velma was predeceased by her husband Bill.

A funeral service for Velma will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 11:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. A private Interment will take place in Serenity Gardens.
