Juliette Malvina Rudrum It is with great sadness that the family of Juliette Malvina Rudrum announce her passing on March 23, 2009 at 80 years of age in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Juliette was born in Debden, Saskatchewan on October 28, 1928. When Juliette was 12, her family moved to North Vancouver. When she was 18 her family bought a farm in Fruitvale. Juliette spent 60 of her 80 years in Fruitvale. At 20 years of age she married John Rudrum. They raised 5 children. Juliette loved to cook and she catered for many functions with her sisters. She was a camp cook at Lourdes near Nelson on Kootenay Lake for 8 years also. Juliette was an active member of her community church St. Rita's Catholic Church. She devoted 10 years to the Girl Guides of Canada and 20 years to the Trail Regional Hospital hairdressing. Her dedication to the community did not go unnoticed. Much to her surprise and honour, she received the Fruitvale Citizen of the year award and an award from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Juliette made many life long friends, especially in the neighbourhood where she and John raised their children. Her home was very popular to the neighbouring children, especially when she baked bread.

After their children left home, Juliette and John leased a camping spot at Lakewood Inn Resort in Kaslo where they enjoyed many years camping with friends and family. In 1995 Juliette moved to Cranbrook and once again made many new friends. Juliette loved her church, her family and her friends.
