Obituary of Eric Roy Barnett

1933 - 2009

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Eric Roy Barnett announces his passing on September 28, 2009 at 76 years of age in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Roy was born on March 26, 1933 in Colchester, England. He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking and travelling. Roy also enjoyed singing and dancing. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Roy is survived by his loving wife Elsie; 3 children: Stephen (Anne), Nicholas (Nancy), and Jan (Gerry); grandchildren: Shelley (Greg), Kathy (Mike), Karen, Christopher, Corey (Danielle), Ryan, Katie and Sarah; great grandchildren: Gavin, Jade, Dustin, Taylor; his sister Joy; his brother Terry and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Roy will be held at Christ Church Anglican in Cranbrook on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment in Fort Steele Cemetery.
