Obituary of Gary Gianiorio

November 7, 1953 - March 31, 2009

It is with great sorrow that the family of Gary Roy Gianiorio announce his passing on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Kimberley, British Columbia at 55 years of age.

Gary had a very resilient personality and overcame many of the challenges in his life. He will be remembered for his kindness and thoughtfulness. Although quiet, he could be very stubborn!!! He loved driving his little blue Yaris (Nicknamed the Peanut) and his uncle Gigi nickname his nieces and nephews always called him. He enjoyed skating, skiing, cycling and working out on his universal gym. Watching basketball, the Tour de France and reading novels gave him great pleasure. He worked for Cominco for 30 years. Gary lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. Gary is survived by his parents: Alma and Roy Gianiorio; his sisters: Elaine (Ron) Nisbet, Jo-Anne Gianiorio (Barry Muramatsu); brother: Glen (Karen) Gianiorio; nieces: Brittany, Danielle, Brianna, Brooke and Nikki; and nephew: Anthony.

At Gary's request there will not be a funeral service. There will be a private family Interment at a later date.
