Obituary of Jeanette Bunker

1929 - 2009

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jeanette Isabella Bunker announce her passing on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 79 years of age at the F.W. Green Memorial Home in Cranbrook.

Jeanette was born on September 11, 1929 in Edmonton, Alberta. She moved to Vancouver and worked at BC Tel (now Telus) until her retirement at age 53. She had many friends from her employment with the phone company. Jeanette spent winters in Phoenix after she retired. She also enjoyed spending time with Daryl and Christy and her grandchildren. When her husband died, she moved to Cranbrook and lived with her daughter Sherry and son-in-law Paul and her grandchildren. Family was a priority for Jeanette.

Jeanette is survived by her son: Daryl (Christy) Burton and their children: Faith, Elizabeth, Daryl J., Hope and Matthew Burton; daughter: Sheryl (Paul) Mackie and their children: Lisa (Jesse) Jarvis, Sarah, John, Brian and Michelle Mackie.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Bunker.

A funeral service for Jeanette will take place at the New Life Foursquare Church located at 308 -10th Avenue South in Cranbrook on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:30 pm.

A reception will follow at Paul & Sheryl Mackie's residence (3212 - 4th Street South) following the service. A special thank you to Dr. Keith Lowden and the many health professionals, who provided so much assistance to Jeanette and the whole family.
