Obituary of Guy Oliver Winstanley

1951 - 2009

It is with sorrow that we announce that Guy passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer at the Kimberley Special Care Home at 58 years of age on Saturday, August 1, 2009.

Born January 22, 1951 in Cranbrook, Guy loved the sea and surf, the arctic and arctic wildlife. He was a talented artist and could turn his hand to fix anything mechanical. He held his friends in high regard. He cherished his family and will be missed very much. Guy is survived by his mother Mary Patricia Winstanley; his brother Thomas Edward Winstanley and his sister Patricia Mary Alice Winstanley.

He was predeceased by his father Oliver Winstanley.

A memorial celebration of life for Guy was held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. His Interment will be take place at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honour of Guy may do so to the: Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area, Box 640, Creston, British Columbia, V0B 1G0.
