Obituary of Walter Lorne Belcher

1947 - 2009

It is with great sorrow that the family of Walter Lorne Belcher announce his passing on August 21, 2009 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 61 years of age. Born in Invermere and raised in Canal Flats, Walter's gentle and kind nature touched everyone he met throughout the East Kootenays. He loved bumble bees, thunder storms, trains, bowling and blackjack, but most of all he loved his family.

Walter will be sadly missed by his entire family and all his friends, especially his mom and dad whom he lived with his entire life.

Walter is survived by his mother and father Rita and Robert Belcher of Cranbrook; his sisters: Susie (Marvin) Bond; Eva (Steve) Bayley; Patty (Glen) Bell; his brothers: Jim (Faye) Belcher; John (Rita) Belcher and George (Anita) Belcher; plus many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial tea in honour of Walter's life will take place at the McPherson Funeral Home Reception Room in Cranbrook on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
