Obituary of Ernest Caron

1929 - 2009

It is with great sorrow that the family of Ernest Caron announce his passing on Saturday, August 29, 2009 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 80 years of age. Ernie was born August 14, 1929 in Gogama, Ontario. He moved from Timmins, Ontario and made his home in the East Kootenay's with our mother Bernadette. He was a proud man and an amazing musician. He was also an incredible outdoorsman. His sense of humour never diminished. He was always fast on his feet and always there to help anyone. Ernie was a man who knew how to party. Everyone who ever met him had a lasting impression of who Ernie was! He leaves behind his loving wife Bernadette; children: Donald (Colleen) Caron; Maurice (Elizabeth) Caron; Dennis (Annmarie) Caron; Christine (Tom) Moreau; Laurent (Linda) Caron; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother Lionel (Bonnie) and 3 sisters: Lucienne, Irene and Aurore.

At Ernie's request, there will not be a funeral service. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honour of Ernie may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
