Obituary of Mildred Alta Weightman

1920 - 2009

Mildred Alta Weightman passed away at the Kimberley Special Care Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 88 years of age.

Mildred was born in Trail, British Columbia on November 9, 1920. She worked at Pinchie Creek with Cominco and this is where she met her husband Owen. In the 1950's Mildred and Owen moved to Kimberley. Mildred was an avid golfer and enjoyed her many friends in the Kimberley area. She lived on 7th Avenue in the Townsite for many years. Mildred is survived by her daughter Janice Weightman of Ottawa.

She was predeceased by her husband Owen in 1969; two sisters: Mabel Shaw and Jennie Melrose.

A graveside for Mildred will take place in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rossland, British Columbia on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
