Obituary of Fran McCullough

December 31, 1930 - September 11, 2009

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Fran McCullough (nee Wilgenhof) who lost her valiant battle with cancer on September 11, 2009.

Fran is survived by her son Thomas (Kimberly), daughter Kim, and son Christopher (Lorelei). She will also be missed by her grandchildren Erin, Sean, Kayla, Troy and Kelsey and great grand children Savannah, Jessica and Riley. Fran is also lovingly remembered by her adopted family Manoj and Vintee Kaushal and their children Angel and Varun as well as many other friends and family. Fran was predeceased by her parents Johannes and Francisca Wilgenhof her brothers, George and Frank Wilgenhof and her husband James Donald McCullough.

Fran was born and raised in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. She married James Donald McCullough in May, 1951 and had three children and 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. During her life she lived in Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Ottawa and Cranbrook. During her years Fran opened her house and her heart to many friends and their children. In her later years she was adopted as the neighbourhood grandma.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the physiotherapists, nurses and medical professionals in Cranbrook and Kelowna for her care during her struggle with cancer.

Services to be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11:00 am.
