It is with great sadness that I learned of Mrs. (Edna) Godlien. I worked with her at many, many catering events along side my mother, Mrs. Elsie Lake., I admired her for her tireless efforts, always giving that extra mile. She always had a smile, and I am grateful for knowing, and working beside her. She had the same qualities as my own mother. My condolences to Ellen, and the rest of the family. I know Edna will be missed, but, hopefully, now resting, as she deserves. Carol (Lake) Hoffert

Dan and family, It was with the greatest sadness that I learned of your Mom's passing, Dan. I have such fond memories of Edna and feel blessed that I was able to spend some time with her recently while watching a football game. Your Mom was always so supportive of kids' sports and tirelessly served her community in a myriad of ways. On that recent Saturday afternoon, she spoke to me of how fortunate she felt to have four wonderful grandchildren whom she thought the world of. Losing a mother is extremely difficult as regardless of our age we always tend to view our parents through a child's eyes. I am sorry that I missed the gathering at the Legion, Dan, but please know the high regard I had for your mother and that you have all been in my thoughts in recent days. Sincerely, Brian R
