Obituary of Linda Jean Abbott

August 26, 1946 - November 15, 2009

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda, wife, mother, grandma, sister, friend and dedicated teacher.

Born in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Linda leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Bud Abbott; her daughter Tara Richerson of Poulsbo, Washington; her sisters: Susan (Ralph) Chapple and Lisa (Paul) Kuster both of Keremeos, British Columbia and Leslie Williams (Brennan) of Abbotsford, British Columbia; her grandsons: Steven Sullivan, Philip and William Seminoff, and Joseph Abbott; her step-children: Louise Abbott, Becky (Bret) Walters, Greg Abbott and Chris Abbott; her nieces: Jenny and Kathy; and great grandchild Antonia; plus many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.

After many months, Linda lost her hard fought battle with brain cancer. Linda leaves behind an army of devoted friends who have helped throughout the past several months with amazing grace and support.

A Celebration of Linda's Life will take place at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook, on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
