Obituary of Cora Irene Salanski

1931 - 2010

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Cora Irene Salanski announces her passing on Sunday, January 3, 2010 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 78 years of age.

Cora was born on February 20, 1931 in Rooseville, British Columbia. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend and loved by all who were touched by her spirit. Cora was passionate about the outdoors, camping, gardening, berry picking and golfing. She had enjoyed many trips throughout the world with family and friends. Cora's hospitality, sense of humour, generosity, culinary talents, service to the church and community will be sadly missed by many.

Cora is survived by Cheryl, Wayne, Dallas, Brandon Price, Charlene, Jerad Fennell, Denise, Chelsea, Reed Cleveland, Neil, Cami, Marlo, Kaylin Salanski, Bob Duthie (special companion), May Blysak (sister) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Salanski, her parents Emma and Harry Black and her sisters Lillian Nygaard and Eva Butler.

A memorial service for Cora will be held at the Cranbrook Alliance Church in Cranbrook on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 am. A private family Interment will take place at a later date.
