1912 - 2012

It is with deep sadness that the family of Alexander Yanosik announces his passing on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the age of 100. Alex was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on August 10,1912.

Alex moved to this area in the late 60's where he was best known for owning and operating Alexander's Inn, in Ta Ta Creek for 23 years. Prior to coming to the area Alex was an avid baseball player which lead to his induction into the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame on April 27, 1985 for his contributions to the Lethbridge Galt Miners Senior Baseball Team of the 1936-1937 season.

Alex was predeceased by his parents; ten brothers and sisters; wife Rose; son Bill; granddaughter Diana; and son-in-law Frank.

Alex will be dearly missed by his daughter Joanne; daughter-in-law Darienne; granddaughters Marina (Tom), Melanie (Jim), Christy; grandsons Frank (Emily), David (Tammy); grandson-in-law Dan; great grandchildren Michael (Brandy), Jocelyn, Katie, Gordon, Veronica, Tylor, Alex (Sara), Maddie, Mckayla, Morgan and Olivia; great great grandchildren Jordan and Brayden.

There will be no service at Alex`s request. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to the Kimberley Home Support for all that they have done in the past three years.
