From Audrey, Wayne, Shawn, Kellie, Adrian and Lalita Stetski
If possible we would appreciate it being read out at the service.
We are so sorry that we are unable to be there for Nan's memorial service - we are still in Australia helping our son Adrian get set up for his last semester at Griffith University in Surfer's Paradise and enjoying some holiday time.
Nan was a dear friend and we have many fond memories of Nan and Frank from our years as neighbours on Edgewood Drive. They were the Matriarch and Patriarch of our street and I can still picture them walking hand-in-hand up the sidewalk - Nan had to hold her hand a little higher than Frank due to their "small" height difference!
One of our best memories was the day that Nan and Frank came to have tea with our youngest child Adrian and his friend Kelsey Klein. The kids had set up a small indoor tent in the living room in which tea would be served. Without missing a beat Nan and Frank crawled into the little tent and had a great tea and cookie party - that was the kind of people that they were!
Nan was a great support for us as a family. When I (Wayne) ran for Mayor the first time in 2008 I remember a conversation that somehow turned to a discussion on ironing clothes. I told Nan that I liked ironing and did all my own clothes, to which she said " I'll tell all my friends to vote for you. A man who likes ironing would make a great Mayor!" She sent me a note afterwards encouraging me to run again in 2011, which was very much appreciated.
Thank you, Nan, for letting me (Audrey) play "Happy Birthday to Nan" on the piano on your 91st birthday this past December when you were at the Green Home. And thank you for your words of wisdom over the years, such as "always take the high road." And thank you for dinners together, breakfast together, and a sleepover at your house for Lalita and I. That was memorable watching you come to the rescue when I set off the house alarm. We decided one sleepover was enough for all of us!
Shawn and Kellie always commented when they would see you walking to the golf course or taking a walk down the street: "THEY ARE SUCH A SPECIAL COUPLE."
Bless you as you reunite with family and friends in the Garden of Heaven. Hope to see you there!
Much love,
Mayor Wayne and Audrey Stetski and family

Nan, so many things to so many people. For me, a warm, loving friend and confidante with a wonderful sense of humour. She has been my support and comfort when times have been tough, her passing leaves a massive hole in my life. Nan taught me her life was family and her family was her life. 61 years of marriage proves her devotion to her husband and children and sets an example for us all to follow. Nan you will always be that star in my sky. With caring thoughts to Nedra and family, Nan was a beautiful person, inside and out. I feel so fortunate to have known her and extend my deepest sympathy to you.

It won't be the same "T"ing off # 18 without Nan standing on her deck waving to her golfing friends.
Nan again will walk hand in hand with Frank as they did for many years.
Both Nan & Frank leave many fond memories for Friends & Family.
Forever in our thoughts,
Chic & Kay Henderson

Nedra & Family: My most sincere condolences in the passing of Nan. She was a
grand Lady and so very thoughtful. I recall the days when she was still golfing and
she so enjoyed the golf luncheons and get togethers.
May your happy memories tide you through the coming weeks and months
Sincere Sympathy
