Obituary of Bernard Robert Streich

1930 - 2010

It is with great sorrow that the family of Bernard Robert Streich announces his passing on March 11, 2010 in Invermere, British Columbia.

Bern was born on April 25, 1930 in Kimberley, British Columbia. He had a great love for wildlife and the outdoors. He loved to feed the birds and squirrels and was an avid bushman. Bern was also an accomplished painter, photographer and huckleberry picker. Bern and his wife Vi enjoyed many years at White Swan Lake campground as the hosts. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Bern is survived by his brother Edgar Streich; nieces: Marilyn, Sharon, Jan and Yvonne; nephews: Bob and Allan Streich and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Vi Streich, brother Andrew Streich and sister Martha.

A family service for Bern will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Kimberley Cemetery. There will be a private family Interment also. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Bern may do so to the: Columbia House Multi-Level Care, 850 - 10th Avenue, Invermere, British Columbia, V0A 1K0.
