Obituary of Donald Hugh McCaugherty

1914 - 2010

It is with great sorrow that the family of Donald Hugh McCaugherty announces his passing on March 21, 2010 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 96 years of age.

Don was born on March 19, 1914 in Kamloops, British Columbia. Donald was a sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed baseball and hockey. His lifelong career was devoted to driving logging trucks.

Don was predeceased by his wife Isobel in 1983, as well as his brother Hugh and two sisters: Lena and Jean. Don leaves to mourn his passing his son Ben; daughter Dawn (Steve) Hunt; grandsons: Todd, Wade and Don; great grandchildren: Devin and Jace as well as many nieces and nephews.

At Don's request a private graveside service will be held at Westlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in his honour may do so to their charity of choice.
