Obituary of Sharon Bernice Zemp

1944 - 2010

Sharon Bernice Zemp beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, great grandma, auntie and friend passed away April 4, 2010 after an long battle with cancer.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill; sons: Daryl (Debbie), Dean (Cathy), mother Julie Kennedy; brothers: Dennis (Cindy) Thompson, John Kennedy, sisters: Jackie (Bill) Hammond, Kathie (Rob) MacDonald, grandsons: Merrick (Pam), Matthew and Tyler; great grandson's Keegan, Colton and Liam; a very special friend Peggy Eaton; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her step-father Jack Kennedy; her uncle Phil and aunt Flo Bednorski.

Bunny was born in Cranbrook and raised in the Kootenays. She married the love of her life in 1962 and they raised their two sons in Cranbrook. Bunny worked at the Royal Bank (RBC), the Kootenay Advertiser, and then at Cranbrook Flooring until her retirement in 2003.

Bunny's greatest joy came from her family and friends.

There will be no funeral service at Bunny's request. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oncology Department at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, 13 - 24th Avenue North, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 3H9.
