January 1, 1927 - April 13, 2010

After a short stay in the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Matt passed away peacefully at the age of 83. In his 40 years of living in Cranbrook he enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, bowling, and curling. In his retirement from Finning, Matt enjoyed his backyard wood shop and took great pride in making beautiful custom furniture for his family members. Matt enjoyed his yard work, and any animals that he encountered, other than the crows.

He is survived by his beloved family. His wife Clara of 56 years; three sons: Cliff and Charlaine of Edmonton, Jim and Nelly of Vancouver, Al and Sharon of Cranbrook; one daughter Dianne and James LeClair of Cranbrook; one grandson Brad Nuspl of Edmonton; three granddaughters: Michelle and Patrick Grant of St. Albert, Danielle Nuspl of Edmonton, and Nicole Nuspl of Cranbrook; three great granddaughters: Cora, Cailin and Abbey Grant of St. Albert. He is also survived by his brother Joe and Shirley Nuspl of Neilburg, Saskatchewan; and a sister-in-law Lorna Nuspl of Petersfield, Manitoba. Matt was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Nuspl and one brother John Nuspl Jr.

There will be a celebration of life held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook, Saturday, April 17, 2010 between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. All are welcome to join and reminisce.
