Obituary of Cara Lee White
Cara Lee White (Fisher) age 62 passed away on November 3rd, 2019 at Foot Hills Hospital in Calgary after complications from a tragic automobile accident.
Cara was born in Kimberley BC on June 17, 1957. She loved Kimberley and lived there for most of her life. She went thru the grades 1-12 there and graduated from Selkirk Secondary in 1975.
Cara lived for a few years after graduation in Princeton B.C. where she was married to Pat White and first son Denny was born. They subsequently moved to Lethbridge where their second son Kris was born.
After Cara and Pat took separate paths Cara moved back to Kimberley, took an electrolysis course and started a relationship with soulmate Rick Renaud. The two of them along with the boys spent many happy years together camping, travelling and enjoying the many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed in Kimberley. Cara’s compassionate nature came through in her last years before retirement as she worked caring for the elderly at the Pines Care Home.
Cara fully enjoyed life and had many interests. Golf was a special passion and she recently took up the sport of pickle ball which she thoroughly enjoyed. Through the years, Cara had many dogs. She loved them all and spoiled them rotten. She loved music and enjoyed attending live concerts; Elton John amongst many.
Cara especially enjoyed being with friends and family. She has many lifelong friends extending from her school days to the present. With her laugh, her smile and her infectious energy she endeared herself to all who knew her.
Cara is survived by her sons, Denny and Kris, her soulmate Rick, three sisters, Patti Gilmar (Bob), Pam Heaton (Ray), Nancie Ricketts, (Mel), and one brother Bruce (Patti) and special sisters -in-law; Heather, Monika, and Marj, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cara was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Edna Fisher and two brothers; Mickey in 1996 and Randy in October of this year.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday November 10th, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Kimberley Conference Center.
