Obituary of Tammy Hampton

Please share a memory of Tammy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother and nana. Born June 8, 1967 in North Vancouver, British Columbia to Leith and Shannon Hampton. Tammy was one of two daughters. In 1972 the family of four relocated to Cranbrook where Tammy has called home ever since. To say that she loved the Kootenay’s, and her life here, would be putting it lightly. Throughout all of her childhood and into her adult life, Tammy had a true passion for horses and everything they entail. She grew-up in the high school rodeo world - loving every minute of it. In 1986 she brought her “baby girl” into this world. She was a young mom but she did whatever it took to be the best Mom possible. In 1992 she welcomed her “buddy rue”. Mom worked so hard to provide us with the most amazing life. She put herself through school taking night classes while working full-time to make ends meet. Tammy had a zest about her that gave her the drive to give everything her all. Whatever she was doing, she was giving it her all. Especially in the past few years when she worked so hard to start her own business - The Head to Hoof Shop. Tammy leaves behind her two children, Amanda (Bart), Brandon (Shawn), her four loving grandsons - who meant the world to her - Paxton, Corbin, Bowen and Westan, her mother Shannon, sister Kim (Mike) Murphy and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends. Tammy is predeceased by her dad, Leith, and all of her grandparents. The family invites you to join them in a time of remembrance on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at the McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Interment will follow the service at the Fort Steele Cemetery where Tammy will be laid to rest next to her best friend and dad, Leith. The family would invite those wishing to send flowers to please send them to McPherson’s for the service. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services. Condolences for the family can be offered at: www.mcphersonfh.com
