Dear Val,
Very sorry for your loss. John was a favourite to many and held a special place in our hearts.
We remember when he came to Maple Creek for the celeb hockey tournie and Ryatt was very little.
He told Ryatt he knew him..., even though it was just that he recognized him from family resemblance. Ryatt of course was thrilled with that! The love of hockey seems to run in their blood, and what is better than a genuine life passion. A life well lived.
Take care,
Marcia Yarshenko and Ryatt Bayne

Sorry for your lose Val and family. I remember playing hockey with John on the slough in Tompkins when we were young kids. Every time we went to Tompkins to visit our grandparents in the winter, we would have to bring our skates and sticks so my brother and I could play hockey with the Migneault's.

All the very best to Val, and family. Migs was a huge influence on me and so many other young men as a coach with the Melville Millionaires in the SJHL. There was no such thing as the “coach’s office” with Migs. Players piled in that little cubicle daily to hear his stories about the WHA, and more importantly, life. Thanks Migs, for everything.
