Jade Aaron Sheldon Jacob

Feb7, 1983 - March 5, 2020

Jade passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Jade loved to fly and received his pilots’ licence at the age of 18. He had a passion for Rugby and running, he was a decorated Biathlete and could encourage and coach anyone to improve their game. He was also a Cadet and was very involved with his Cadet community.

Jade was a medical unicorn. At the young age of 19, Jade survived a catastrophic cardiac event and defied the odds when he awoke two months later. Although awake, Jade would then battle a significant brain injury for the rest of his life. Through these trying times, Jade’s strength and determination assisted him in his recovery, proving many on his Healthcare Team wrong time and again. Jade would spend the rest of his life under the careful loving care of his Mom (Shaala) and his Stepfather (Greg).

Jade had several jobs over the years, and he put everything he had into them. He cared deeply for the people he worked with and the work that he was doing. His kind and intelligent nature made him easy to be around. Not a day went by when he didn’t teach someone something profound and make them smile.

Jade had a passion for music that he shared with everyone.  He loved to sing and talk about music. He created podcasts and was tireless when it came time to debate the intricacies, background and stories.

Jade was a wonderful Son, Brother and Friend.  He will be dearly missed.

Jade’s family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers that came and went in Jade’s life over the past 18 years.

In the words of Jade’s Mom, Shaala
