Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

1938 - 2014

It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ken Anderson on January 14, 2014 at the age of 75 years, at his home in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

He was born Kenneth Franklin Anderson on June 17, 1938 in Morris, Manitoba. Ken was a friendly, kind hearted person that had friends in many places. He always had time to chat and share a story with others. He spent time during his life in Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia and Mexico. He worked for CBC in Edmonton as a Personnel Manager. He operated a Limo Cargo service at the Cranbrook airport. He was an accomplished pilot and often joked that there were old pilots, and bold pilots, but no old, bold pilots. In his younger years he loved to surprise the family, and he would drop in to visit unannounced in his airplane or pick-up truck.

After a successful working career, he was able to retire and enjoy his retirement years. He loved to travel and enjoyed trips with his camper trailer and motorcycle. He really cared about the people he met and the places he saw and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a poetic writer, story teller, and dabbled in woodworking and photography. He was very active and loved to walk his 4 mile journey every morning and then meander up for morning coffee at the local coffee shop.

He will be greatly missed and is survived by his brother Joe and wife Jan of Prince George, B.C., sister-in-law Bernice Anderson and nephews Joe Anderson (& Pat), Gord Anderson (& Claire), Andy Anderson (& Karen), Wes Anderson (& Julie) and niece Lynn Rempel of Morris Manitoba. He also had numerous great nieces and nephews and was looking forward to the arrival of his next great-great nephew or niece. He loved children and often said that babies were such a great way to start people. He had numerous friends and neighbors across the country that will miss him as well.

He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Anna Anderson, brother Walter Anderson, brother Murray Anderson, and nephew Dale Rempel, all of Morris, Manitoba.

Cremation has taken place and his remains will be laid to rest at a later date. Donations may be made in Ken's memory to the charity of your choice and he would be so pleased.

The family wishes to thank Penny Coyle and Uncle Ken's friends and others whom were there to show their love and concern at his time of passing. McPherson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and we appreciate their professional service and care shown to us through a difficult time.
