It is with heart felt sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Laird of Kimberley B.C on August 16^th, 2020 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

Sharon was born in Outlook, SK and grew-up in Glenside, SK on the farm where she developed a love for animals. She had a passion for dogs and had the pleasure raising and training many Shetland Sheep dogs and soon adored a special Shar Pie named Wyatt. Sharon married and in 1972 started her family. She welcomed a beautiful daughter named Donna and soon another daughter, Amie, and finally a son, Adam, to complete her family. Sharon enjoyed raising her children and over the next many years lived a quiet and humble life. Sharon lived in Saskatoon, Vancouver, Victoria and Kimberley. In her last few years, she lived in the East Kootenay’s settle in Kimberley with her dog Zing.

Sharon is survived by her children Donna Laird (Colin Surcon) and Adam Laird (Surrena Craig) and by her sisters Peggy Spence (Don) and Debbie Morris. She had two grandchildren Adam and Andrew Laird and great granddaughter Aurora Laird and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents Norma and Norman Taylor, her daughter Amie Laird, her brothers Dale, Don and Bob Taylor and sisters Shelby Jerask.

Sharon will be interred in a private family service in the Kimberley Cemetery.
