Born: November 18, 1943 – Lafleche, Saskatchewan

Passed: August 22, 2020 – Kimberley, B.C.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather Clarence Scutt who died peacefully on August 22, 2020.

Clarence was born in Lafleche, Saskatchewan where he grew up and attended school and finished high school in Aldergrove, B.C. Clarence and brother Jim then moved to Vancouver where he studied Accounting and started his career in Prince Rupert with BC Packers. He married Elaine Shurnaik in 1970 and they started a family in Vancouver, B.C., and eventually moved to Calgary, AB. Clarence loved the West Coast and upon early retirement he returned to Vancouver and then settled in the community of Kimberley, B.C. He loved hiking, golfing, and most of all spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his friends. Clarence was also active in the church community and was always there to lend a hand. His generosity and kindness will truly be missed.

He is survived by his sons Brian Scutt, Jeffery Scutt, Kyle Scutt, and grandchildren Zachary Houston-Scutt, Sydney Houston-Scutt, Chase Houston-Scutt, Seth Scutt, Keegan Scutt, and brothers Cliff, Ken, Jim, Dennis, Michael, and sisters Carrie, Elsie, and Margaret. He is predeceased by his parents George Scutt; Margaret Schmidt and Stepfather Joe Schmidt.

A private Funeral Service (Kimberley Community Church – Presiding Pastor Evan Fletcher), will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 1:00pm, Kimberley BC, followed by Interment at the Kimberley Cemetery.
