Obituary of Bill Rankins
Bill (William) Rankins, 83, died in the early morning hours of September 06, 2020 after a 5-month battle with cancer.
Bill was born on March 22, 1937 in Kimberley, B.C., to June and Gordon Rankins.
He grew up in Kimberley, Wolf Creek, Springfield, Oregon and Sandpoint, Idaho. He worked as a rancher, logger, big game guide and Jack of All Trades.
Bill is survived by his sister Arden Holmes, son Richard "Dick" Rankins, daughter Arden Rankins, niece Julie, nephews Dan and Jack, grandchildren Dan and Brady and great grandchildren McKenzie, Sydney, and Aurora.
He was predeceased by his mother June Martin, his father Gordon Rankins, brother in law Gary Holmes and niece Carmon Holmes.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the covered outdoor Wasa Lions Pancake breakfast facility located near the Wasa community hall at the north end of the lake on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at 2 pm.
Social distancing will be practiced. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided.
Family requests no flowers, just lots of stories. In lieu of flowers donations to The Wasa Lions Club or a charity of your choice is appreciated.
