Obituary of Peggy Millicent Mooy

 1921 – 2020

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy on Thursday October 29, 2020 at the age of 99.

Mum was born on October 6, 1921 in Lancing, Sussex England. Mum had lots of cheeky stories of growing up with her brother Jack and sister Taffy on the Sussex Downs. She grew up in a time of war and like many of the girls during that era, Peggy married a Canadian Solder and moved to Canada in 1956.  Peggy met and married her second Canadian Soldier and moved to Cranbrook in 1961.  Mum loved to knit and was famous for her socks!

Peggy leaves behind a long list of loved one’s; her children Shirley (Eugene) Mooy, Jack (Jamie) Bradstock, Linda (Bob) Sutherland, Christopher Mooy, Wendy (Les) Dobos, Alice Mooy and Diane Schochenmaier, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 1/2 great great grandchildren, and puppies Charlie, Benny and Dollee.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband Ron Mooy, granddaughter Kathy Klima, sons Johnny and Dannie Mooy, her sister Kathleen Brownbill and brother Jack Scardifield.

A  Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00 am at Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local SPCA as she loved her Pussy cats and Puppy dogs!
